IT Update: Follow-Up
on Teams Calling

Hello everyone,
 
All staff should have received an email from Microsoft last week when the main Teams Calling switch was completed last week. If you did not receive such an email letting you know that your number is now available, please send an email to help@northcarolina.edu with the subject line “Teams Calling Email Not Received.”
 
There may be pockets of users that were been missed in the main port due to several reasons. 

  • Any employees hired after the initial list was submitted.
  • Any employee that did not have a number originally when they were hired and was submitted to UNC-Chapel Hill Telephony to receive a number after we communicated the original port from Verizon to AT&T.
  • Staff who could potentially be incorrectly listed in the wrong organizational unit in the UNC-Chapel Hill Telephony system.

In the ticket, please include your name and the phone number that was assigned to you so that we can collect the pockets of folks to submit for subsequent ports to Microsoft.
