Members of the NC Teaching Fellows program at UNC-Chapel Hill join a community of learners guided by four pillars:<\/p>\n

These pillars shape every aspect of the program, preparing graduates for meaningful, lasting careers in education. Each year, we select a central theme from these pillars to shape a seminar series, giving Fellows the chance to learn from and engage with leading educational experts.<\/p>\n
Beyond the classroom, Fellows visit model classrooms to put their content knowledge and research-based methods coursework into action. They also engage in experiential learning through unique opportunities with Carolina\u2019s BEAM makerspaces, Outward Bound, and the Durham County Schools Hub Farm.<\/p>\n
\u201cI liked that the program wasn\u2019t just focused on how to be a teacher, because there\u2019s no one way to be a teacher.
