Students are saving between $9,000 and $14,000 in tuition and fees alone by taking their first two years of classes at Beaufort County Community College. This is according to studies conducted by the college on cost-savings for students from their transfer programs with major universities. These numbers do not reflect other savings associated with cost of attendance, including food and board.

Pirate Promise with East Carolina University guarantees ECU admission for students completing an Associate in Arts or Associate in Science degree with a 2.5 GPA or greater. Benefits include guaranteed admission, waived ECU transfer application fee, joint academic advising, joint financial aid counseling and RaiseMe micro-scholarship opportunities, ECU One Card eligibility, access to ECU libraries, and access to Here’s How ECU Career Services virtual workshop series. Pirate Promise can save students $9,000.

Pathway to Excellence with University of North Carolina Wilmington guarantees UNCW admission for students completing an Associate in Arts or Associate in Science degree with a 2.5 GPA or greater. Benefits include guaranteed admission and joint academic advising. Pathway to Excellence can save students $10,000.

PackTrac with N.C. State University guarantees admission into one of the 13 eligible majors with the College of Agricultural and Life Sciences at N.C. State. Students must maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.0 for all transferable college course work. Benefits include guaranteed admission and joint academic advising. PackTrac can save students $14,000.

These transfer programs ensure that students are better prepared for the universities they attend, and leave with college with less debt.
