The UNC System’s Fall CHRO/Deputy Meeting, held October 20–21 at The Dillon in Raleigh, brought together HR leaders from across the System to explore “Navigating the Future of Work: UNC System Talent Strategies.”

Highlights included an inspiring session with Marc Effron on defining and activating a strategic talent philosophy, and an in-depth look at Cornerstone Galaxy and the evolving landscape of integrated talent management systems. Day two featured campus roundtables and updates on policy changes, workforce dashboards, and JCAT progress, followed by breakout discussions on regional training, engagement strategies, and AI in HR led by Dr. Shannon Tufts.

If you haven’t yet shared your thoughts, please take a few minutes to complete the Fall Meeting Feedback Survey — your input will help shape our next convening.

We’ll share detailed meeting notes and takeaways in the next digest. Until then, wishing you a beautiful fall week and continued success as we move our System’s talent strategy forward together.
