Policies and Forms

The resources below will help you find policies and procedures that relate to you as a University staff or faculty member. Please note that each UNC constituent institution has limited authority to develop specific policies and procedures for their institution, consistent with these policies.

SHRA Employee Policies: SHRA employees are subject to the provisions of NC General Statute 126, the North Carolina Human Resources Act (therefore, “Subject” to the Human Resources Act). SHRA employee policies are under the authority of the State Human Resources Commission and are administered by the Office of State Human Resources (OSHR). The UNC System Office has delegated authority from OSHR onĀ a wide range of SHRA policies including (but not limited) to those where there are University-specific policies.

EHRA Employee Policies: EHRA employees are exempt from most provisions of NC General Statute 126 (therefore, “”Exempt” from the Human Resources Act). This includes university faculty and EHRA non-faculty staff. EHRA employee policies are under the authority of the University of North Carolina Board of Governors and are administered by the UNC System Office.
