The Miles for Wellness (M4W) spring virtual walking challenge (#25) will be starting soon. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, regular physical activity is one of the most important things you can do for your health. The purpose of M4W is to encourage and support employees to increase their level of physical activity, with the goal of 10,000 steps, or the equivalent of five miles, achieved most days of the week. This season’s challenge is a virtual trail that will traverse the northern capitols of the United States beginning at Wisconsin State Capitol in Madison, WI and finishing up at the US Capitol in Washington, D.C. This virtual walking activity is geared to encourage state employees to stay active and connect online with teammates while completing a virtual trek to 16 different state capitols.

M4W Challenge 25 runs from March 15 – May 8. Get your teams together as registration will open on February 14. Individuals who do not have a team can register starting March 1 to join other state teams in need of additional members. The registration link and additional information about this challenge can be found by visiting the Miles for Wellness Challenge 25 homepage on the OSHR website.
