We are excited to announce several new and/or revised JCATs were updated this month. These are available for use now in HR Data Mart, and campus HRIS representatives received an update with the changes on Aug. 14, 2025. These revisions should be reflected in the August data submission.

A revised JCAT matrix is linked for reference. Note that the JCAT matrix has been overhauled to include all currently active JCATs, not just EHRA positions. We hope this adjustment will make the tool more user-friendly for all HR professionals. Please make sure that your classification and compensation team members are aware of these changes.

Eight new JCATs have been created and assigned EHRA A-Grade ranges. Several additional JCATs received adjustments to their base salary ranges and modifiers:

  • 195002: Chief Executive Officer for Affiliate Institutions
  • 301002: Director, Mail Services AD
  • 301008: Director, Subdivision/Unit/Program AD, Public Service and Extension
  • 301009: Director, Subdivision/Unit/Program AD, Student Affairs
  • 301011: Director, Subdivision/Unit/Program AD, Academic Affairs
  • 312001: Assoc/Asst Director, Subdivision/Unit/Program AD, Public Service and Extension
  • 312002: Assoc/Asst Director, Subdivision/Unit/Program AD, Student Affairs
  • 312003: Assoc/Asst Director, Subdivision/Unit/Program AD, Academic Affairs
  • 435000: Business Operations Professional
  • 435001: Business Operations Professional, Senior
  • 435011: Business Operations Professional, Dept Business Mgr
  • 435012: Business Operations Professional, Dept Business Mgr Sr.
