As part of our work on the JCAT Salary Range project, we have been reviewing your suggestions and requests. Based on this feedback, we are pleased to announce several new and/or revised JCATs that have been updated this month. These are available for use now in HR Data Mart, and campus HRIS representatives received an update with the changes on Aug. 14. These revisions should be reflected in your data submissions moving forward.

A revised JCAT matrix is available on the classification and compensation website and is linked here for reference. Note that the JCAT matrix has been overhauled to include ALL currently active JCATs – not only EHRA Non-Faculty positions. We hope this adjustment will make the tool more user-friendly for all HR professionals. Please make sure that your classification and compensation team members are aware of these changes.

Eight new JCATs have been created and assigned EHRA A-Grade ranges. Several additional JCATs have received adjustments to their base salary ranges or modifiers:

  • 301002: Director, Mail Services AD
  • 301008: Director, Subdivision/Unit/Program AD, Public Service and Extension
  • 301009: Director, Subdivision/Unit/Program AD, Student Affairs
  • 301011: Director, Subdivision/Unit/Program AD, Academic Affairs
  • 312001: Assoc/Asst Director, Subdivision/Unit/Program AD, Public Service and Extension
  • 312002: Assoc/Asst Director, Subdivision/Unit/Program AD, Student Affairs
  • 312003: Assoc/Asst Director, Subdivision/Unit/Program AD, Academic Affairs
  • 435000: Business Operations Professional
  • 435001: Business Operations Professional, Senior
  • 435011: Business Operations Professional, Dept Business Mgr
  • 435012: Business Operations Professional, Dept Business Mgr Sr.
