Round of Applause Awards

Congratulations to the following individuals who have received Round of Applause recognition from their colleagues! To nominate a co-worker for the Round of Applause Award, visit the online nomination form.

Round of Applause: Neeta Gropper

Neeta’s organization and project management skills deserve a gold star! I could tell the employee appreciation lunch in Oct had Neeta’s special touch. Everything she does is classy, festive, and fun. I appreciate how organized Neeta setup the lunch this year. Multiple lines, someone to serve us, plenty of seating, and organized gift selection kept the event running smoothly. Even with the date change, she came through with flying colors. Thanks Neeta!

Round of Applause: Lisa Forster

Lisa is the consummate note taker. You can depend on her to have detailed notes from any team meetings or process discussions. I have my very own set of “Chucky” notes for our monthly Orbit submissions. She is always willing to share her documentation with the group.

Round of Applause: Connie Long

Connie deserves an award for remaining calm under the most trying circumstances (Hello snake in the bathroom!). She also has a candy bowl on her desk when you need to satisfy a sweet tooth or consume an anxiety releasing chocolate.

Round of Applause: Donna Sommer

Donna deserves a round of applause everyday! She is constantly improving our checklists and procedures to help us all be more efficient and productive. These efforts especially help during the hectic Quarterly and Year End tax processing times.

Round of Applause: Kelley Gregory

Kelley went above and beyond in lending her expertise (as well as her office space!) to support a week’s worth of dinners for an Academic Affairs family. Very much appreciated by everyone. Thanks Kelley!

Round of Applause: Aubrey Clark-Brown

Aubrey stepped up and offered to give two presentations covering complicated topics to campus representatives on the Data Modernization & Integration project. The consultants that put together the original presentations did not attend the second two rounds of meetings with the university finance team members, so Aubrey volunteered to give both presentations (about half of the full day session), and did an awesome job!

Round of Applause: Cole Justad-Sandberg

During the last 9 months Cole has stepped in to support our CFNC/DPI Electronic HS Transcript System since Robin’s retirement in December. His diligent monitoring, proactive communication, and positive attitude have helped students send over 240,000 official transcripts to NC colleges in 2019. Thank you, Cole!

Round of Applause: Tom Wallis

Tom is, simply put, an editing rockstar. His command of language and intent is so very much appreciated, especially in a pinch. He has often whittled away at documents or even just a single sentence on a moment’s notice, and he does it without complaining! Kudos to Tom!
