Your Career & Our Collective Mission
In North Carolina, all the public educational institutions granting four-year degrees are part of the University of North Carolina System. Our multi-campus system encompasses 16 universities; the NC School of Science and Mathematics, the nation’s first public residential high school for gifted students; and a number of affiliated institutions, including PBS North Carolina, the North Carolina State Education Authority, and UNC Health.
The UNC System Office, located in Raleigh, houses the offices of the System’s president and senior administrative staff. These core administrative divisions provide a comprehensive array of operational services and System-wide guidance in academic affairs, business and financial management, long-range planning, human resources, information technology, legal affairs, and external relations.
Fulfilling the role of the UNC System Office requires a variety of skills. Our openings range from accounting to instruction, program management, IT support, and many more.
No matter their positions, though, our staff are united in working toward a single purpose: serving North Carolina and its citizens by supporting the teaching, research, and public service work at our institutions, which in turn helps ensure that our students receive an excellent and affordable education.
