Attachment: Summer 2026 HRDM Release Enhancements

As previously communicated, HR DataMart is moving to a semi-annual release cycle, with scheduled infrastructure updates in both July and January which will require campus-level testing and implementation. In addition to the bulk deactivation of JCATs, the July semi-annual HRDM release will see a number of new fields and validations. A summary of those updates is included here. HRIS liaisons have had regular communications over the past 6+ months regarding these planned changes. ERP managers should have completed all systems testing to prepare for the July implementation. If CHROs have not been updated previously by their respective HRIS liaisons, we encourage you to have those conversations about potential changes to reporting requirements.

HRDM will be upgraded for the July release on Friday, July 10. The System Office HRDM team will notify members of the HRDM listserv when the update is complete. Institutions will have 2 weeks to upgrade their systems in order to send July data under the new enhancement requirements.

A complete guide to the July HRDM changes can be found via the linked file at the top of this page. Changes include:

  • Collecting employee zip code, state, and country of residence
  • Collecting budget codes
  • Expanding the population of employees counted as “Research” or “Public Service” for federal IPEDS reporting
  • New data validations to catch incomplete compensation and benefits data
  • New fields created by the System Office HRDM team to make querying data across ranges of time easier (PERIOD_CODE)
  • Removal of redundant personnel data file (PDF) datasets
