Nominations are now open for the UNC System Office President’s Awards for Excellence. This is your opportunity to let us know about an outstanding colleague and their work in support of the UNC System’s strategic plan.
The President’s Awards recognize one manager and one staff member for their commitment to and substantial contributions toward the Strategic Plan goals of affordability, accessibility, student success, economic impact, and excellent and diverse institutions. While some positions may have a direct role in strategic initiatives and others may play a more indirect role, each System Office employee has an opportunity to make an impact in one or more goal areas and align their accomplishments with the Plan.
Each recipient will receive an award and a check for $1,000, and will be nominated for the statewide Governor’s Award for Excellence.
Any System Office staff member may nominate a colleague using the online form. Nominations must be received by Friday, Feb. 18. The Senior Vice Presidents will review nominations and make recommendations to the President. For more information on the President’s Award, visit the HR website.
The exceptional work done by System Office staff is key to supporting our institutions’ ability to provide teaching, research, and public service to the people of North Carolina. Although we may not all see each other regularly during this time, we all know co-workers who make a difference every day. Help them get the recognition they deserve – nominate them for the President’s Awards!
You can also continue to nominate your colleagues for the ongoing Round of Applause recognition! Read recent nominations here and then nominate a deserving colleague. Three nominees and one nominator will be randomly drawn to each receive a $25 gift card at the next System Office town hall meeting.
