The UNC System Staff Assembly will meet on Monday and Tuesday, July 20-21 for their Summer 2026 in-person meeting, hosted by Fayetteville State University. Among the updates to be provided are a presentation by System CFO Jennifer Haygood regarding the funding of System institutions, a review of Shared Services offered by the System Office (Advancement, IT/ERP, Benefits, Payroll, and Executive Search), and the standard HR Update.
The HR Update includes answers to questions submitted by delegates on a variety of topics. Also included are updates on vacancy and turnover rates and a review of key elements and changes related to the new 2026 State Budget salary increases and bonuses, the 2027-2028 updates to the State Health Plan, and highlights of the replacement of GS 126 as GS 126A.
It is common for Staff Senate chairs to livestream commentary back to their staff senators during the meeting and send additional updates shortly after, so questions may quickly arise for campus HR leaders regarding this content.
