As discussed among the Insight community since June 10th, 2022, Tableau data will be retained for 10 years, rolling. For example, the RLS Applications data extract currently dates back to Summer I 2009. With this change, it will be retained back to Summer I 2013, and dashboards using that source will align. Each year, the oldest year will be removed. This change is being made to improve efficiency and performance, especially the daily refreshes of the data, and provide a more predictable storage capacity, and limit future storage upgrade costs to subscribers.
This change will occur beginning Monday, August 1, 2022, and continue for a few days.
This 10 year data retention limit ONLY affects Tableau extracts and related dashboards. Redshift warehouse data will have full retention.
