Faculty Realignment Incentive Program

The Faculty Realignment Incentive Program (FRIP) is a voluntary program that provides eligible tenured faculty with the option of early retirement in exchange for a one-time incentive payment. The program helps UNC System institutions achieve cost savings, operational efficiencies, and smoother faculty transitions while recognizing the service of retiring faculty members.
