About the Conference

The 2021 conference planning team is pleased to invite you to the first Virtual UNC System Safety & Security Conference. This Conference is exclusively open to UNC System personnel, and will connect safety and security professionals throughout the 16 universities and 1 high school that make up the University of North Carolina System.

This year, the conference will be held entirely online from January through April 2021. Sessions will be hosted by nationally-recognized experts, including Stetson Professor of Law Peter Lake and US Department of Education Senior Advisor for Clery Act Compliance and Campus Safety Operations Jim Moore. Many speakers from across the UNC System, including Board of Governors member Mark Holton, will also present.

The Conference will feature content related to the following areas:

Clery Act | Environmental Health and Safety | Emergency Management
Law Enforcement | Legal | Student Affairs | Title IX

 

Conference Information & Registration

The 2021 Virtual UNC System Safety & Security Conference will be held via Zoom Webinar and Zoom Meetings. Follow the link below to register and access detailed information about each session, including titles, descriptions, and presenter information.

Sessions have been grouped together where possible to make registration easier. Please do not forget to register for each session group that you would like to attend. Once registered, a private Zoom invitation will be sent to your inbox.  When the session is set to begin, simply sign in as you would for any other Zoom meeting.

As a professional courtesy to our presenters, we respectfully ask that those registered make reasonable efforts to attend and to remain present and engaged through the duration of each session.
